JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- As late as last week, AAA reported gas price relief wouldn't be in sight until April, but now new report pegs it as coming earlier. The publisher of the Lundberg Survey says the reasons behind the spike are gone.
Right now, the national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is $3.80. That's up nearly 54 cents over nine weeks.
Trilby Lundberg says crude oil prices are now going down and wholesale prices are also starting to tumble.
She says that doesn't mean prices couldn't get higher, but has hope they will fall.
The Lundberg Survey checks prices at thousands of gas stations across the country.
