JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Rollergirls are in the playoffs for the first time, but it takes money to get there. They have several fundraising opportunites coming up if you would like to help them get to Lincoln, Nebraska.
Here is the info they sent to us about upcoming events:
Sept. 11 - Pizza Hut online fundraiser: Use coupon code ROLLER and 20 percent of your order goes to the Rollergirls.
Sept. 15 - Doubleheader bout at Jacksonville Ice and Sportsplex (3605 Philips Highway), we are hosting a silent auction. This event will feature unique JRG memorabilia as well as merchandise and services from local businesses. Doors open at 5:30. The auction is cash only but there is an ATM nearby.
Sept. 16 - Car Wash at All-Pro Complete Auto Repair, 4122 Southside Blvd from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sept. 20 - Hamburger Mary's (3333 Beach Blvd), please join us for Ham-BINGO from 7:30 - 9:30 PM. Donations are collected for BINGO cards (with a suggested donation of $5 per card). The cards can be reused and are good for all of the games that night! You can win great prizes such as gift certificates for salon services and tickets to local entertainment!
