Social media is buzzing today about the new head coach.
The response has been nearly all positive. One twitter follower said he had been a great coach and mentor at college and feels he's a great addition. But Action News went on the streets to find out what folks thought, and most of them had never heard of him.
"I don't know a whole lot about him," Ian Garrett said. "I do know he's going to need some time. All coaches need some time with the team to be able to get their system in place. I don't think Mike Mularkey got the time he deserved."
"I thought they were going to go more offensive wise," Nicholas Flora said. "Maybe they just didn't want to wait for an offensive guy. But from what I've heard about him, he's a good coach. He's a real player-friendly coach. Everybody's spoken real highly of him, so bringing that kind of defense here. I really like that."
Flora said he had to do research on him this morning to find out what kind of coach he is, but like the facebook and twitter posts ... he likes what he saw.
