JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Two people are under arrest this morning after an early morning police shooting in the Brentwood area.

Police responded to calls about shots fired a few blocks away from Andrew Jackson High School early Friday morning.

Police arrived on the scene on the 3900 block of Boulevard Street to find the suspect carrying a gun. Police say the suspect refused to drop the gun and that is when an officer fired 4 shots at the suspect. The suspect then ran inside. No one was injured. Those shots hit the outside of the duplex.

Police say four adults and one child were in that duplex.

JSO says the person who had the gun will face charges of aggravated assault against an officer. They are questioning the residents of the home and canvassing the area. Police say they have not yet found the gun.

Action News has a crew on the scene and will bring you the very latest as we get it.
