Northeast Florida Veg Fest gets ready to kick off
JACKSONVILLE, Fla - Thousands will gather at Riverside Park on Saturday, November 3, 2012, for the Third Annual Northeast Florida Veg Fest in Jacksonville, Florida from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This day-long FREE festival overflowing with earth- and animal-friendly fun will speak to a community ready to take control of their health and the health of the planet.
Nationally-known and internet sensation, VEGAN BLACK METAL CHEF will present a special cooking demonstration from 1PM to 2PM entertaining the crowds with his unique way of making healthy and tasty meals. The purpose of this locally-supported event is to build a conscious community that understands the importance of sustainable and humane practices in businesses and restaurants. The Northeast Florida Veg Fest provides an opportunity for people to discover healthy options and beneficial resources that they can begin to incorporate in their daily lives.
The Girls Gone Green and Northeast Florida Vegetarian Society invite everyone interested in becoming leaner, greener or cleaner to come enjoy this day of family fun and positive action.
Leashed companion animals are welcome. Families will enjoy the kid’s zone featuring eco-friendly crafts and keepsakes. Live music on the main stage along with raffle prize giveaways and fun contests will keep everyone entertained throughout the day.
The Girls Gone Green is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 2007 and devoted to heightening people's awareness about how to improve the quality of our lives by improving the world around us. We explore environmental, animal and health issues through community campaigns and events.
