Are you ready for the weekend?

This weekend is the Gate River Run. I hate running. But I love to cheer on the runners!

My annual Gate River Run party includes mimosas while watching the race kick off on TV. Then we head to the foot of the Hart Bridge to root on the masses about to tackle the Green Monster. Breakfast follows and I'm left feeling like I did something valuable that day.

Here's a hint to some real fun ... call out the runners' names. Some look confused, others realize you know their name because it's on their race number if they signed up early enough.

Whatever you choose to do this weekend, make it a great one! And remember, if you're bored in Jacksonville ... it's your own fault!
