For years, the carburetor was the system of choice for delivering the air and gas mixture necessary to fuel your car. Today, fuel injectors have replaced most carburetors. Computerized fuel injectors are more efficient than carburetors--they run cleaner and provide more power. Fuel injectors require clean gasoline to work properly. Buy gasoline from a reputable service station to make sure you're getting the cleanest possible fuel. Fuel injectors and carburetors may need occasional adjustment or cleaning. You should hire a trained specialist to all the work on your car's fuel injectors. Your owner's manual will give you specific times for scheduled maintenance.
