1 dead, 1 in critical condition after crash on SR A1A

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- One man is dead and another is in critical condition after a crash late Saturday on State Road A1A.

The Florida Highway Patrol says Sean M. Saikley was killed when the car he was riding in lost control in the southbound lane. It crashed into a car traveling in the right hand lane then flipped.

Saikley was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car, Michael J. McBride is in critical condition at UF and Shands Jacksonville.

The passengers of the second vehicle, Rodney and Shaunna Mann have no serious injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.
