JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Thomas "TJ" Nunley went for a walk in his Arlington neighborhood on Dec. 9 and never came home.

He was found dead on the side of Fort Caroline Road with a single gunshot wound. He was 19 years old.

His father, Thomas Nunley, said, "It's so frustrating that there's no information, or no one's come forward."

Nunley had no known enemies. He wasn't robbed. He was the victim of a seemingly random act of violence.

Lt. Rob Schoonover with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said, "He had left his house, was just walking down the street. For whatever reason, he was shot in cold blood."

Nunley's uncle, Lt. Col. Brian Nunley, said, "I feel like this is a wonderful place to live. And I worry about the future of the rest of the people that live here."

With the case growing cold, the teenager's family, friends, and neighbors are making a desperate plea to the public, offering a $15,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Nunley's killer.

His mother, Dena Westbrook, found back tears while saying to her son's killer, "I'm going to tell you right now, you're going to get caught."

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS. You will remain anonymous and could receive a cash reward of up to $1,000 if your tip leads to an arrest.
