LAKE COUNTY, Fla. -- Lake County Sheriff's Office detectives made arrests in a major drug sting Tuesday.
The Sheriff's Office conducted a controlled delivery of about 700 pounds of marijuana to two men, 63-year-old Clarence Brantley and 45-year-old Tracey Roddy.
The two men traveled from Georgia with $405,000 in cash to purchase the marijuana, Sheriff's Office officials said.
Detectives said they took the men into custody in the Leesburg area with help from the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Detectives seized the cash and their truck, according to a release.
The men were booked into the Lake County Detention Center on drug trafficking charges, investigators said.
Brantley and Roddy are being held on $500,000 bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
