JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A 20-year-old man is facing life in prison after being convicted of killing a man while his toddler was in the home.
Late Thursday a jury convicted Enrique Pajaro on charges of Murder in the First Degree and Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery in the death of Robert Scott.
In March 2012, Pajaro and a friend, Merienne Blake, arranged to meet Scott at Blake's home and get high. After Scott passed out from using drugs, Pajaro and Blake stole his drugs, smoked the drugs, and then attacked the victim with a hammer. When Scott tried to defend himself, Pajaro choked him to death.
The victim's 3-year-old daughter was in the home at the time of the attack.
Pajaro will be sentenced next week. He faces life in prison.
