At least one dead in house fire inside The Woods gated community on the Southside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- One person is dead after a house fire Monday night on the Southside.

A fire official told Action News they were dispatched to the home on Wild Olive Court in The Woods gated community around 8:30 Monday night.  Crews could see flames coming from the roof of the single-family home.

Ten JFRD units responded to the scene and continued to fight the fire late into the night.  The state Fire Marshall's office will conduct a full investigation into the cause of the fire.
