Despite lull, severe weather still possible
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Widespread rain made its way across Florida and Georgia starting Wednesday night. First Alert Weather buddies reported 1.03" in Green Cove Springs and 0.75" in Fleming Island. Jacksonville International Airport has picked up over .50" so far.
A storm system is still getting organized in the Gulf of Mexico. It'll affect us tonight and Friday morning. A few strong storms are possible...along with additional rain.
Skies begin to clear midday Friday.
The weekend will be slightly cooler and much drier with plenty of strong April sunshine. Highs will be in the seventies.
