Disabled car hit twice, killing driver
VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. -- One person is dead after a fiery crash on Interstate 4 in Volusia County. It happened late Friday.
The Florida Highway Patrol says a 1986 Chevy El Camino stopped in the center lane of the highway, just east of State Road 472. That's when a Nissan Sentra tried to swerve to miss the car but clipped it in the rear and came to rest on the shoulder of the road.
Witnesses tell police a third vehicle, a Semi then struck the rear of the El Camino. The El Camino then burst into flames.
The driver was killed at the scene.
