Drive-by shooting kills one man, injures juvenile
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says one man is dead and a child is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a shooting Saturday night.
It happened just before 11:30 p.m. at 5409 Bunche Drive.
JSO says 47-year-old Julius Parish and a child were standing in the driveway near the home when the shooter drove by and fired multiple shots at them.
Witnesses told police the car fled down Bunche Drive towards 45th Street. Police have not released a description of the suspect vehicle.
The victims were taken to a local hospital where Parish was pronounced dead. The child is in life-threatening condition.
