Tropical Storm "Ernesto" Headed for Central America & Could Become a Hurricane; "Florence" Dissipating in far E. Atlantic....Tropical storm "Ernesto" is back to organizing & strengthening & is destined for Central America. Models have come into agreement regarding a track farther to the south owing to the Eastern U.S. trough staying far enough northeast to not have a major impact. "Ernesto" should move into or near Honduras, Belize & the Southern Yucatan Peninsula late Mon. night through Tuesday when it could be near or at hurricane strength. It looks like the most intense weather associated with "Ernesto" will be south of Cancun. It's possible that the storm will never manage to make it back into the SW Gulf of Mexico but if it does, it'll only be for a short time before moving into Mexico well south of Texas.
"Ernesto" is not a threat to Florida.
"Florence" is dying a quick death as the storm is surrounded by dry air & is fretting hammered by shear that will only become stronger. Dissipation will occur soon & the last advisory was issued by the NHC Mon. morning.
