FSCJ board makes pick for interim president
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Board members at FSCJ wasted no time Tuesday making their pick for the school's next interim president.
Florida State College at Jacksonville trustees considered the top three candidates for the position Tuesday out of 17 total applications. After hearing consultant Jeff Hockaday give a breakdown of the three candidates, trustees voted unanimously for Dr. Willis Holcombe.
Holcombe is the past president of Broward College and a Florida College System Chancellor.
Holcombe still has to officially accept the board's offer. Trustees will discuss his contract at the next meeting in January.
The interim president can not become the permanent president of FSCJ.
The other two finalists were Dr. Charles Dassance and Dr. Larry Durrence.
