Fatal crash shuts down parts of Beach Blvd.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck shut down lanes of Beach Boulevard near Saint Johns Bluff Road Saturday afternoon.
The westbound lanes of Beach Boulevard were shutdown to all but one lane for several hours while troopers investigated.
The Florida Highway Patrol tells Action News a silver pickup truck was traveling east on Beach and made a left turn onto Cortez Road.
After making the turn, the pickup hit a motorcycle.
That motorcyclist, 50-year-old Rafe Williams was killed in the crash.
