JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad detonated a suspicious package at a train station on the Westside early Saturday.

JSO says the Bomb Squad was called to the Amtrak station located at 3570 Clifford Lane at 6:46 a.m. after someone reported seeing an unattended package in the station.

Police evacuated the station and detonated the package but did not say whether it was determined to be hazardous.

Employees at the station tell Action News the investigation affected one passenger train this morning.

Police have cleared the station and it has reopened to the public.
