JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office are questioning the parents of three children found wandering in Spring Park.

Officers found the children, between the 1 years old and 4 years old, on San Diego Road off of Spring Park Road just after 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon.  A person who saw the stranded children called police and stayed with them until officers arrived.

Police say one of the children was naked.  None of the children are hurt.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office tells Action News they were searching for the parents of the children when they got call around 8:40 p.m. Sunday reporting three missing children from the person they believe is the father. They say the man told them he was taking a nap and when he woke up the children were gone. That person, along with the children's mother is now being questioned.

Charges are pending the outcome of an investigation.

The children are now in the custody of the Department of Children and Families.
