GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. -- A Jacksonville man was convicted in a Clay County sex sting.

Steven Kyle Scharfenstine, 30, was convicted Tuesday on charges of traveling to meet a minor to do unlawful acts, unlawful use of a two-way device, and solicitation of a child's guardian to allow a sexual act.

Scharfenstine was arrested in March in Operation Don't Play in Clay. As part of the undercover sting, multiple agencies -- the Clay County Sheriff's Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement -- corresponded with people online.

Scharfenstine set up a meeting to have sex with two young girls in Clay County. Scharfenstine was arrested when he arrived at the arranged meeting location.

Scharfenstine faces 15 years in prison. He will be sentenced January 10, 2013.
