Man critical after crash at I-295 and Baymeadows

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A Jacksonville man is in critical condition tonight after his vehicle flipped on Interstate 295.

A report from Florida Highway Patrol shows, Robert Michael Jennings Mancheno, 26, was driving his 1998 Toyota SUV northbound on 295 about 11:35 a.m. today when his vehicle struck a Mack Truck traveling in front of him. FHP reported his SUV then veered right and struck the inside guardrail, went back onto the road and overturned. Mancheno was taken to Orange Park Medical center with life-threatening injuries.

The report shows charges are pending and alcohol may be a factor.
