JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man faces the death penalty in the killing of a former neighbor.
Dennis Thurnado Glover, 50, was convicted Thursday on a first-degree murder charge in the death of 51-year-old Sandra Allen.
In May 2012, Glover told his girlfriend that he heard screams coming from Allen's home two doors down, and thought he should go check on her.
When police arrived, officers discovered Allen had been strangled and stabbed to death. Police later matched blood found on the his shoes to the victim.
The death penalty phase begins Dec. 19. The jury will recommend if Glover should be sentenced to death or life in prison without parole.
