MIDDLEBURG, Fla. -- The robbery suspect of an armed hold up of the Dunkin' Donuts in Middleburg was caught just hours after his alleged crime Sunday morning, according to the Clay County Sheriff's Office.
Detectives say Eric Correia, 33, walked into the restaurant around 7 a.m. and left with an undisclosed amount of money.
An employee chased the suspect and was able to smash a window of the PT Cruiser Correia was in, detectives say.
Deputies report they were able to catch Correia after his girlfriend's mother contacted police to alert them of the vehicle's damage.
Correia was arrested without incident in Middleburg and faces multiple charges in relation to the armed robbery.
