Motorcyclist hit by truck on Interstate 95

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A motorcyclist is recovering after being thrown from his bike on Interstate 95 near St. Augustine Road. 

Witnesses tell Action News a truck was tailgating a small car when the car slammed on breaks.  They say the truck, then, tried to change lanes and struck a motorcyclist, throwing him from his bike. 

Witnesses say the truck didn't see the motorcycle as he changed lanes.

That motorcyclist was taken to the hospital.  Witnesses say the motorcyclist has a broken leg. 

The witnesses to the crash say they were returning from Bike Week in Daytona.  It is not clear if the victim was also returning from Bike Week.
