JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Darlene Farah is still in shock over her daughter's murder, but says she will hold vigil outside the Duval County Jail until her daughter's killer is inside it.

"It's like it's not happening. This is not real, it's not," said Darelene Farah, Shelby Farah's mother.

Shelby was murdered while working at the Metro PCS store on North Main. The 20 year old was a manager there and an active member of the community.

Darlene told Action News she won't get much sleep until Shelby's killer is off the streets. "I'm camped out here at the Police Memorial Building. I'm not leaving until they bring him in," said Darlene.

With her pastor by her side, Darelene waits at JSO headquarters for that very moment. Farah says she wants the community to help bring her daughter's killer to justice.

The suspect was captured on surveillance video moments before the shooting. "I want people to hurry up and get out there and pick up the phone and call if anybody knows anything," said Darelene.

Darlene says Shelby was commited to her community, even volunteered as a cheerleading coach for young children.

Until an arrest is made, Darlene promises to honor her daughter whose life was cut short with a constant vigil at the jail. "We need justice for Shelby. We need to get this man off the streets. If we don't get [him] off the streets he's going to do it to somebody else," said Darlene.

If you know anything that can help police find Shelby Farah's killer, call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
