ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Deputies say a mother and daughter were intentionally run down in a bank parking lot in front of other family members. The driver of the SUV that hit them is now facing murder and attempted murder charges.

Rosa Lee Armstrong, 56, died from her injuries. Her 22-year-old daughter, Shaina Armstrong, is expected to recover and is being treated for her injuries at Flagler Hospital.

Candace Kiara Jackson, 24, is now charged with second degree murder and second degree attempted murder.

Kevin Kelshaw with the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office says Jackson was involved in a domestic relationship with Shaina Armstrong. He says the two were involved in an argument earlier in the day on Friday, which culminated in Jackson hitting Shaina Armstrong and her mother with her SUV in the Bank of America parking lot on U.S. 1 South in St. Augustine.

Deputies say the attack happened while the mother and daughter were walking in the parking lot with other family members.
