ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Dozens of drivers in downtown St. Augustine have had to look for alternate routes after several streets became too flooded to pass.

In the early morning hours, King Street at Malaga Street was significantly flooded. The standing water has now receded in that area.

According to the St. Augustine Police Department, St. George, Bridge, Granada and Cordova Streets have all seen a significant amount of flooding. There are no reported road closures at this time.

St. Augustine has received more than eight inches of rain since midnight and more is on the way.

There is a flash flood warning in effect for St. Johns County until 10:30 a.m.

According to Chuck Mulligan with the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, State Road 207 East of Hilltop Road is starting to flood and Cowpen Branch Road off of State Road 206 is beginning to crumble.

Trees are blocking various parts of State Road 16 and power lines are down on County Road 214.
