SWAT standoff ends peacefully
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A SWAT standoff in a Riverside neighborhood ended peacefully Monday night after several hours.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office SWAT team was called to a home in the 2100 block of Kingswood Road in reference to a man barricaded inside.
The home owner's caretaker contacted police after the he told her he no longer wanted to live. JSO took precautions due to the large number of guns inside the home.
Nearby residents were evacuated and no one was injured.
