JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Santa Claus is coming to town, but this year, for at least one night, he may get outshined.
Santa's house is up and ready for requests at the St. Johns Town Center, but before his arrival, there's a big celebration planned.
On Saturday from 2-6 p.m. the St. Johns Town Center will have fun activities for the whole family. At 6 p.m. the live music will start with at least one star that may outshine Old Saint Nick.
Bridgit Mendler will be headlining the entertainment. Her popularity on the Disney Channel's "Good Luck Charlie" show has gained her quite a following.
St. Johns Town Center Director of Marketing said she has been getting a lot of calls from kids wanting to know how they can be a VIP. Unfortunately, that is not an option. But following Bridgit's performance, the kids can look forward to Santa's arrival, the tree lighting and fireworks.
