JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office SWAT team was called out to a home in the Arlington area Saturday night on the 300 block of West Tidewater Circle.

At least three JSO SWAT command centers arrived on scene and began negotiations at about 11:30 p.m. with a armed man who refused to come out of his residence.

Police ordered him to come out through a loud speaker and fired tear gas into the house.

The 55-year-old suspect gave himself up to police around 2:30 am.

Police have not released the man's full identification.

According to neighbors, the man has a wife and two step-children.  However, they were not in the home at the time of a standoff.

JSO tells Action News that the suspects faces multiple charges included aggravated assault and domestic battery.
