JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Police say a 16-year old girl tried to burn down a mobile home while her father slept inside.
Kingsland firefighters responded early Friday morning to the home in the Southern Pines Mobile Home Park. It was already partially engulfed in flames when they got there.
They had word that the resident, Scott Hinebaugh, was still sleeping inside. He got out unharmed.
Investigators in Kingsland, GA say they the girl was spotted in the home's backyard and had started the fire. She's being charged with criminal attempt to commit murder, aggravated assault, and arson.
