JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is auctioning off thousands of dollars in seized items. More than a dozen cars, and other expensive items will be sold this Thursday. Potential buyers got to preview what they can bid on. .

Thursday's auction will feature 30 vehicles. One of those is a 2004 yellow Lamborghini.

From high-end cars like these BMW's or Range Rovers, to this expensive jewelry. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Auction promises to deliver. "I'm looking at the Lamborghini, because I like exotic cars," says potential Michael Fogarty. "I've seen the bracelet. There's a nice little bracelet over there," says potential buyer Dynisha Kirkland.

About four times a year, JSO gathers forfeited and seized merchandise to sell. This month the selection includes roughly 30 vehicles. "When I say vehicles I'm talking, there's motorcycles, there's a four wheeler, a golf cart, and I believe there's also a jet ski," says JSO Lt. Ray Beltz.

And more than 25 pieces of jewelry. "We have everything ranging from rings, bracelets, to a big ET emblem," he says.

JSO expects more than 250 people to attend Thursday's auction, and says typically they'll make about $100,000 by the end of the day. "The proceeds from this auction will go into two separate funds. One of them is the law enforcement trust fund. And the other is the confidential maintenance vehicle fund," says Lt. Beltz.

Lt. Beltz says make sure to bring a cashiers check or cash to this event. "A lot if people come for different reasons. Some people for a first time car, some of them because they want to get a car at a price they couldn't normally get, like the Lamborghini here. The minimum bid is at $70,000. You can't go anywhere and get a Lamborghini that starts at $70,000," he says.

Thursday's auction will be held at Metro Park. Gates open at 8:30 a.m. The auction begins at 10 am.
