• Camden deputies: Missing 12-year-old girl found safe

    CAMDEN COUNTY, Ga. - UPDATE, 11/13/17, 7:40 p.m.: Augusta Underwood has been found safe, Camden County deputies said.

    The Camden County, Georgia, Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a missing 12-year-old girl who ran into the woods after getting off the school bus Monday.

    Augusta Underwood is 5 feet 5 inches tall,  weighs 142 pounds, has shoulder-length blond hair and bluish-green eyes, and has a small scar beneath her chin, deputies said.

    She was last seen in the area of Old Still Road and was wearing a blue hoodie and pants of an unknown color.

    Deputies said Augusta left the school bus she was riding home on and ran into a wooded area in the area of Walk About RV Park.  

    Bloodhound teams are searching for Augusta near Interstate 95 and Exit 7 near the Harrietts Bluff exit. 

    She has in the past attempted to harm herself, deputies said.
