• 4-year-old Gainesville girl found, suspect still at large


    UPDATE, 12/6/17, 9:20 p.m.: The Alachua County Sheriff's Office said missing 4-year-old Gabrinna Nelson has been found. 

    The suspect, Gary Nelson, is still at large. Anyone with information on Nelson's whereabouts is asked to contact law enforcement.

    The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has issued a Florida Missing Child Alert for a 4-year-old girl from Gainesville.

    Gabrinna Nelson was last seen near NW 8th Avenue and NW 34th Street in Gainesville, FDLE said.

    Gabrinna is described as 3 feet tall and weighs 30 pounds. She may be in the company of 44-year-old Gary Nelson.

    Gary Nelson was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans and is described as having black hair, brown eyes, is 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 175 pounds.

    They may be traveling in a 1999, red Ford Taurus, Florida tag number Y63AMU. 

    FDLE said if the two are spotted, do not approach them but instead call the Alachua County Sheriff's Office at 352-955-1818 or 911.
