The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man was shot and killed along West 45th Street in the Moncrief area on Tuesday night.

Police say the victim, a man between 25 and 30 years old, was shot and killed by at least two masked men.

Witnesses told police that two men wearing masks walked up to the victim at Hilltop Village Apartments, shot him multiple times and then ran away.

Family and friends at the scene tell Action News Jax's Larry Spruill that the victim is a local music producer and rapper named Lil' Jug.

Police are searching social media for any possible information in this shooting. Officers are also speaking to witnesses about what they saw to try and gather more information about the suspects.

Including this shooting, there were a total of three fatal shootings in Jacksonville on Tuesday night. A 14-year-old was shot and killed on the Westside, and a young man was killed at an apartment complex in the Biltmore area.
