ORLANDO, Fla. -- Police said they are looking for a man who tried to kidnap a boy from an Orlando neighborhood.
The boy was approached near Ethan Lane and Prospect Avenue at about 8:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.
The 13-year-old boy, who was out for a jog in Baldwin Park, told investigators the man tried to force him into a pickup truck.
The boy said he stopped to use the bathroom at one of the Porta Potties, and right after that, he said someone tried to snatch him.
"That's not an OK thing. I've got three young kids, and Baldwin Park is typically safe, but you know," said Baldwin Park resident Greg Kainz.
The boy fought off the attacker and got away, police said.
Police released a sketch of the man they believe tried to snatch the boy. They believe the man was possibly driving a black Chevy Silverado.
"Everyone's keeping an eye out for that (truck), that's for certain," said Kainz.
Police described the suspect as a large, white man with red hair, blue eyes and a goatee, weighing about 200 pounds.
Anyone with information should call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS. Anyone who sees the suspect should not approach but call 911 immediately.
