MARION COUNTY, Fla. -- A man from Marion County is in jail, suspected in nearly a dozen neighborhood burglaries.

His last visit inside someone else's home landed him in jail because the homeowners caught him in the act.

Police say a couple out on a walk noticed Raymond Ferland acting suspiciously near their home in the Orange Blossom Hills subdivision. The responding deputy found a broken window and a bucket underneath it, as if it had been used to get inside the home. The deputy also heard noises coming from inside the home. He went inside and found the suspect in the back bedroom.

Ferland is being questioned about 10 other home burglaries in the area.
