College Station, TX (Sports Network) - Texas A&M wide receiver Thomas Johnson was found overnight after the freshman had gone missing earlier this week.

According to the school, Johnson had been missing since leaving his residence in College Station on Monday at around 5 p.m. local time. University police on Thursday confirmed he had been found and was safe.

"We are pleased and relieved to find T.J.," said A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin in a statement Thursday. "Our foremost concern is for the health and well- being of T.J. I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and efforts in locating him."

The Dallas Morning News reported Thursday that the 18-year-old Johnson was found in his hometown of Dallas.

Johnson is third on the team with 30 catches for 339 yards for the ninth- ranked Aggies, who are coming off 29-24 upset of then-No. 1 Alabama.
