JACKSONVILLE, Fla - Just five games remain in the Southern League's first half and the Suns are right in the thick of a title race. Entering Thursday night Jacksonville sits two games back of first place Mobile. The Suns have three teams to pass if they want to claim the title and its playoff berth but do have one big advantage. While Mobile, Mississippi, and Montgomery will all be on the road the next five games, Jacksonville will have some home field advantage down the stretch.

In order to make a run over the next week the Suns will need to have a short memory. Andy Barkett's team is coming off a tough series against North division champion Birmingham, including back to back losses heading into this series. It will also take a little help from around the league with Mobile visiting Pensacola and Mississippi taking on Tennessee.

This years club is chock full of talent and now is the time to prove it with a playoff berth on the line and the uncertainty of where the Suns top prospects will be playing in the second half. The Suns and Biscuits will meet at 7:05 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday before a 3:05 tilt on Sunday and 12:05 matinee to close out the first half Monday.
