ALBANY, NY.--The Jacksonville Giants defeated the Albany Shockwave 155-139. The Giants had an impressive showing from ABA Finals MVP Jermaine Bell who dominated the game with 42 points 6 rebounds and 6 blocks. Currye Todd contributed to the win with 23 points, seven of his eight made baskets were from 3-point distance. The Giants as a team made a total of 25 3-point shots.
This is the first loss for the Albany Shockwave who are currently ranked 11th in the ABA Power Rankings. This is the Giants 4th consecutive win which improves their overall record to 12-1. Jacksonville is currently ranked 2nd in the ABA Power Rankings and looking to regain the #1 spot which they held from the pre-season to the 5th week of the season. Coach Waters said of the win “The guys are playing well right now. Obviously the long distance shots were falling for us tonight. Jermaine Bell played great and the rest of the team fed off his energy.”
