MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) - Marcus Tarrance scored 14 points and Jaqawn Raymond added another 14 off the bench, and the pair were key down the stretch to lead Middle Tennessee to a 77-70 win over North Florida Wednesday night.

Travis Wallace converted a pair of North Florida free throws with 40 seconds left to cut the Middle Tennessee lead to three, 73-70, but Tarrance stripped Jalen Nesbitt of the ball with 20 seconds left and fed Raymond for a layup. Raymond added a pair of free throws to create the final margin.

The Blue Raiders (2-0) got a dozen points from Shawn Jones and another dozen off the bench from Reggie Upshaw as the team shot an efficient 27 for 53 from the field.

Wallace led all scorers with 18 points and nine rebounds to lead the Ospreys (1-2), with 10 points each coming from Chris Davenport and Nesbitt.
