    WARE COUNTY, Ga. -

Not on our watch. That is the message some Georgia prison officials are giving after they intercepted some contraband concealed in cabbage.

Corrections officers at the Ware State Prison said they noticed something strange about a bag of cabbage that was discovered during a “shake down” on Wednesday.

When they searched the bag, the CERT officers said they found the cabbages were not solid all the way through, instead they were hollowed out and had items inside.

They discovered two large vacuum-sealed bags of marijuana, two large plastic-wrapped bags of tobacco, eight plastic-wrapped touchscreen phones, two small wrapped bags of chargers, six flip phones and a small bag of headsets.

In November, the Georgia Department of Correction said it had discovered a nearly identical operation at the Valdosta State Prison.

In this instance, officers found hollowed-out cabbage heads in a produce truck attempting to get in.
Authorities said they found marijuana, tobacco, cellphones and chargers inside.
