• Jaguars win final preseason game vs. Falcons

The Jacksonville Jaguars beat Atlanta Falcons Thursday night in the final preseason game of the 2017 season, 13-7.

The game was the last chance for players dreaming to be in the NFL to prove they have what it takes.

The fourth preseason game is for the guys who are "on the bubble" of making the team, as cuts are coming this weekend to get the team from a 90-man roster down to a 53-man roster.

"That's probably the worst day of the year for me, you know. And I don't have a problem cutting someone that's, you know, not doing what they're supposed to do or anything like that. But there's a lot of guys that, it just hurts," Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said before the game.

The NFL dream can come true for some of the battles that are going on in the back end of the roster. The front end of the roster did not play at all in this game.

Thirty-four Jaguars players sat out this game; included in that are quarterbacks Blake Bortles and Chad Henne. Brandon Allen took all snaps at quarterback for the Jaguars in this game.

9:59 p.m.: A Jason Myers field goal brings the final score to Jaguars 13, Falcons 7.

9:20 p.m.: The Falcons fumble the ball, but recover it for a touchdown, making the score Jaguars 10, Falcons 7.

8:49 p.m.: A field goal by Jason Myers is good to put the Jaguars up 10-0 in the third quarter.

7:46 p.m.: The Jaguars close out the first quarter with the first score of the game. QB Brandon Allen connects with Dede Westbrook for a touchdown. An extra point kick from Jason Myers makes the score 7-0.
